Maharajah Flamenco Trio delivers a moving and dynamic expression of Flamenco Nuevo, New Flamenco, by blending traditional Spanish rhythms with jazz and world music. Maharajah Flamenco Trio offers a unique multi-cultural experience for it's audience. With lyrics in Spanish and Romanian, instruments from six continents and players from three, the Trio brings a rich diversity that takes the listener on a tour of the World. Guitar virtuoso Silviu Ciulei captures the passion of flamenco with the precision of the classical guitarist. Bassist David Cobb mixes the roots of American rhythm with the melodic sensibilities of Western Asia. Percussionist Ramin Yazdanpanah's drumming captures the spirit of his Cuban and Iranian forefathers. Stunning vocals are steeped in the exotic mix with the growl and drone of the Australian didjeridoo. The diverse musical backgrounds and technical virtuosity of it's members enable Maharajah Flamenco Trio to create a unique experience of daring and high-energy music.
