4AD will release Scott Walkers soundtrack to Brady Corbets dramatic film The Childhood Of A Leader on Friday 22 July, 2016. It is Walkers first OST work since his remarkable score for Pola X in 1999. His dramatic contribution is at the heart of the film, a tense semi-fictional film, inspired by Jean-Paul Sartres short story of the same name, that follows the complicated formative years of young boy growing in France in 1918 who witnesses the signing of the Treatment of Versailles. Walker continues to work with long-term collaborators Pete Walsh (co-producer) and Mark Warman (orchestra, conductor), and were both involved in the live score performance by an orchestra of 80 that closed Rotterdam Film Festival last month.
